About Me

Investing is laying out money now to get more money back in the future.

Warren Buffet

That’s exactly what I’ve been trying to do since October 2018, putting money away now so that I and my wife will have more money for our retirement.

I’m the sole breadwinner in the family. My wife is a home-maker. She gladly gave up her career to stay home to take care of the kids. I and the children treasure her presence in the home more than the income that she brings in. The responsibility of providing for my wife and 3 children falls squarely on my shoulders. Home for us is a 4-room flat.

I wish I’m a doctor or a lawyer or an accountant or an engineer or an entrepreneur. But I’m not. There are not too many people in Singapore who do the work that I do. I’m not disclosing it here lest my friends can identify who I am from reading this blog.

My wife and I try our very best to limit our spending by sticking closely to a budget. For our family of 5, our family budget comes up to about $4000 per month. Whatever is left from my salary, I channel them to the stock market. The goal is to accumulate $1 million in the stock market.

I blog here to chronicle my investing journey.

Thank you for reading my blog.
